Entrepreneurs are driven by nature.
But what drives you initially isn’t what drives you later in life and business. Though you’ll always be growth-driven, the intention and the intensity changes as we experience and evolve.
I see this consistently in myself, having built four businesses from the ground up, and from my clients who are also entrepreneurs.
It doesn’t matter where your drive comes from initially, even if it comes from a dark place or from a need to prove yourself or feel significant. All of that is ok! It’s what gets the engine revved up!
Entrepreneurship, like life, is a personal journey. And those of us who are growth-driven will continue to evolve and improve the way we do things.
Remember this:
- You don’t have to have it all figured out.
- You don’t have to do things perfectly.
- You are allowed to make mistakes!
That means you’re trying.
As your drive matures, you’ll become more intentional. You’ll start to evaluate where your drive is actually serving you, and where it is not serving you. And with that awareness you can make wise decisions about where to put your energy.
