Last week I shared one of the four common reasons new coaches and business owners feel like quitting. If you missed it, you can read it here.
Today we’ll talk about the second most common reason, and that is comparison. When you compare yourself or your business to others you see having success or seemingly growing quicker than you, you fall into the trap of underestimating your own progress, and overestimating theirs!
And that’s because you’re likely comparing your step one to their step 10, 12, or 20.
You have to remember that you never know the effort that someone else has put in. You don’t know what has been going on behind the scenes, how much experience that person has with business, with sales, the structure and systems they have set up, and so on.
You also don’t know how many times they have failed along the way!

"Success requires endurance and perseverance."
Comparing your success to someone else’s who is further along than you are is not a fair comparison. Comparison robs you of true perspective. Instead, put your head down and focus on what you are doing.
You can succeed as a coach, have a thriving coaching business that makes a huge difference for the people that you serve and make a great living. But you’ve got to stay focused on the step that you are in.
